These could possibly be the best love song covers you’ll ever hear. Internet's supercouple Gabriel Conte and Jess Conte have swept the world off their feet with their love story and they are about to again with their new cover EP, Under The Covers.
Here’s a little about them...
Gabriel Conte is an actor and comedian from Miami and he first rose to fame through Vine, where he would post short funny skits. At the same time, he started his YouTube channel, which currently has raked up more than a million subscribers. On the other hand, Jess Conte is a cover artist and beauty guru from Australia. Similarly, she rose to fame through her YouTube channel (or also known as BauerBirds). Last August, the couple started a joint YouTube channel where they post vlogs and pretty much became relationship goals.
Their first ever EP, Under The Covers, features their rendition of five popular love songs including John Legend’s Love Me Now and Andy Grammar’s Fresh Eyes. The couple stripped things back and kept their covers simple (which is all that they need, really!), with a great focus on their amazing voices. Speaking to Billboard, Gabriel and Jess revealed that the entire EP was recorded in just 3 days and that it was the first time they worked in a professional recording studio together.
Overall, I’ll give this EP a 4 hearts out of 5 and I’m excited to hear what they have in store for us in the future. Maybe an original album?

Every Friday, Spotify compiles an entire list of 50 new tracks that was released in that week. 50 tracks can be a lot to take in, so we break down the good, the bad and the unexpected from this playlist!
Obviously the talk of the town this week was Ed Sheeran. After a yearlong hiatus, Ed is back with a brand new album reportedly titled Divide. He sure loves his math, doesn’t he? He has been teasing us with audio-less snippets on social media since the New Year and has released 2 of the songs, Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill last Friday!
Another name that we have been hearing a lot recently is Dua Lipa. She has been on tour with Troye Sivan and even debuted her collaboration with Martin Garrix in Myanmar on NYE. This week’s playlist features Thinking ‘Bout You, which is slightly different from her usual sound. This song features a toned down backing track creating a focus on her voice. She is definitely the one to watch this year!
Scrolling through the list, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. It has been awhile since Austin Mahone has made the headlines. Remember the days of What About Love or Say You’re Just A Friend? Lady (featuring Pitbull), from his new mix tape For Me + You, features a much more mature sound.
A band that caught my eye (or ears) was Great Good Fine Ok with their song Holding You. Upon hearing the song, the catchy tune immediately drew me in so I had to see what song this was. Definitely need to check them out!
Which is your favourite song from the list? Till next week!

If you have not heard of Us The Duo, let me introduce them in all their greatness to you. Husband Michael and wife Carissa started off by posting 6-second covers on Vine and then simultaneously started building up their YouTube channel. They have been regarded as the first ever artists from Vine to be signed to a record label: Republic Records. Till date, they have released 3 albums and a very special EP that was based on stories from fans. At the same time, they continue to do covers of popular songs on their YouTube channel.
It has become a yearly affair that they create a top hits medley at the end of the year; they summed up 18 of their favourite tracks from this year in 3 minutes. Without looking at the description, how many songs can you name?
We’re not too sure what was going on in the introduction when Carissa spilled tea on Michael but they just went straight into the medley. But we know for sure that they absolutely slayed the medley. Every single transition and song was incorporated well and they stuck to their roots; amazing vocals and just piano accompaniment.

Logging into Twitter a couple nights ago was just heart-breaking, looking at the top trend #RIPJohannah. Johannah Deakin, better known as Louis Tomlinson’s mother, has passed away due to leukaemia. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. This is our tribute to the supermom.
Louis has always been known as the mummy’s boy among the 1D members.
Through interviews and the Year In The Making documentary, we learnt that they were really close and were like best friends. He was there for her and she was there for him.
Johannah has been incredibly supportive of Louis throughout the years. She attended the This Is Us movie premiere in Leicester Square, a number of award shows that 1D has been to and also the charity ball that Louis organised alongside Believe In Magic.
Scrolling through her Twitter and Instagram posts, you can tell that she has always put her children first and is forever supportive of what they have done and achieved. As an avid Directioner, she is like a mother to fandom and we’ll miss her very much!
Louis paid tribute to her with his first solo performance of Just Hold On alongside Steve Aoki.
Stay strong, my friend.

2016 has been a year full of love and heartbreak. We break down the most iconic couples of 2016. Are you ready?
1. Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid definitely win the most supportive couple award. On several occasions, they have showed their support for each other through social media or turning up at each other’s events. Remember the time when Gigi wore a “lol ur not zayn malik” t-shirt, or when she ran into Zayn’s arms after he picked up the newcomer award at this year’s AMAs?
2. Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have not had the smoothest relationship. The couple first met on the set of The Last Song and they officially stepped out as a couple at the 2010 Oscars. Throughout the years, they have been on and off, even getting engaged! We truly hope that they’ll be together happily ever after now.

2016 is coming to a close. We have had a fair share of celebrity couples getting together and also couples splitting up. We break down the biggest ships that need to go canon in 2017.
1. Charlie Puth & Selena Gomez
After the release of We Don’t Talk Anymore, we were almost certain that they were soon going to get together. There was so much chemistry when Charlie Puth joined Selena Gomez at her show. However in the following months, when asked about Selena, Charlie admitted that they don’t really talk anymore. It is such a pity, but 2017 will be a new year and maybe?
2. Ed Sheeran & Taylor Swift
Ed Sheeran has been in Taylor Swift’s squad since 2013 when they collaborated on Everything Has Changed and went on tour together. They have remained the closest of friends throughout the years but we’re thinking maybe they can give it a shot? No doubt, Ed has confessed that he would not date Taylor, as she is too tall.
3. Rihanna & Drake
This is the most talked about moment at this year’s Video Music Awards and this is why they definitely need to get together. There had been rumours that they couple finally went canon after the award show but there had also been rumours that they have broken up. Well, we will never know what is exactly going on but one can hope!
4. Joe Jonas & Hailee Steinfield
From their chemistry in Rock Bottom to Joe Jonas pranking Hailee Steinfield during April Fools’, they have proven to be really close. This is why they are on our list of the biggest ships that need to happen. We do know that Joe has recently been spotted with actress Sophie Turner, but they are just so cool together!
