Katy Perry Joins American Idol Reboot As Judge!

By  May 19, 2017

There's always different stories about Katy Perry.

Some claim that she's a bitch, others defend her and describe her down-to-earth. So when news broke out that she would be joining season 16 of the newly rebooted American Idol, we can't help but wonder what kind of judge she would be.

This isn't going to be the first time we're seeing Katy Perry as a judge, though. Back in 2009, Katy joined Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Simon Cowell of season 9 as a guest judge. And well, let's say that she wasn't exactly... nice.

Then in 2010, Katy reprised her role as a guest judge at the Dublin auditions of The X Factor UK season 7.

Katy played a key role in this episode, for she was the one who held the fate of Niall Horan in her hands. After receiving 2 'yes's from Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh and a 'no' from Cheryl Cole, Katy hesitantly voted for Niall to go through to the next round.

Had Katy said 'no', there wouldn't have been the One Direction that we know now.

Katy was also comparably more polite during her stint at The X Factor UK than American Idol. However, her savage remarks in American Idol did make the episode a lot more entertaining, and we kinda love her for her unfiltered opinions.

So which persona would you prefer Katy to take on when she begins her upcoming gig as a judge in the reboot of American Idol?
