Lady Gaga Discovers 'The Cure' For Bad Pop Music

By  April 18, 2017

Pop music has been a tragedy lately with the rise of The Chainsmokers’ sappy, relatable, shallow white-girl songs that sound the same.

Don’t believe me?

Listen to this (and perhaps make your own Chainsmokers-esque song).

Thankfully, Lady Gaga has come thru with a brand-new song from out of nowhere. The Cure is written and produced by long-time friend DJWS and Nick Monson of ARTPOP and Selena’s Good For You fame.

The Cure premiered smack in the middle of Gaga’s career-defining Coachella set that was somehow even better than her Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year.

Festival goers must have been more than grateful for Beyoncé pulling out of Coachella because Gaga definitely gave it her all for the latest set at Coachella. There’s just something about the high-energy numbers, costumes and song choices that Bey could certainly not match up.

The Cure is definitely a return to radio-friendly pop music for Gaga, who has been experimenting with the genre with Joanne. Does this mean the end of the Joanne era?

Certainly not, as The Cure seems to be part of a new EP to accompany her Joanne LP.

Of course, the performance of the remix of Million Reasons is another indicator that it’s not dying anytime soon.

Listen to the banging new song below in anticipation of a potentially new song for weekend 2!
