"I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend."
Well, Freddie Mercury, the late frontman of British rock band Queen, was right when he spoke those words, and this legend has a movie being made about himself.
For a few years now, there has been plans of a biopic (biographical movie) about Freddie and Queen but a recent reveal by guitarist Brian May, indicates that the movie will be released in 2018 - yes, NEXT YEAR!
The project has been kept a little on the quiet side, BUT the things we do know about it are that it will be directed by Bryan Singer (director of X-Men movies), it will star Rami Malek - who replaced Sacha Baron Cohen due to the latter's departure over disagreements with Brian May - and it will be called Bohemian Rhapsody.
There isn't an exact release date yet but we can tell you that we're on the edge of our seats in anticipation over this movie because, quite frankly, Queen is arguably one of the best bands to have ever existed and therefore, really really deserving of a movie. Fingers crossed that this project will be a HIT!
Here's the music video for one of their most famous song, Bohemian Rhapsody, to get you PUMPED!
