If you didn't know, the 59th annual GRAMMY Awards just happened on the 12th of February, and for some it was disappointing while for others, it was triumphant.
For Adele, it was a bittersweet feeling as she accepted not just the GRAMMY Award for Record of the Year for Hello but also Album of the Year for 25. She accepted her award with tears of joy but also with some words for her fellow nominee, Beyoncé Knowles. In her winning speech, she moved everyone with her many thanks to her team and family, mentioned raising a child, and touched on her struggles of putting her heart and soul into her music. She then dedicated the award to Beyoncé, deeming Lemonade "monumental" all while showering praise for the singer.
Not only did she dedicate her award to Beyoncé in her speech, but she also broke her GRAMMY trophy in half before giving one to her!
Needless to say, Adele and Beyoncé are both successful and inspiring female icons and for them, there will be many more triumphs to come.
