Echosmith To Release Acoustic EP, Teases Charming New Single 'Terminal'

By  May 8, 2014

The road to pervading success seems endless for the“It” Kids of last year’s Vans Warped Tour - Los Angeles-based indie pop quartet, Echosmith.

A melting pot of musical prowess that literally flows in their blood, the siblings’ debut album Talking Dreams has seen them through tours like Owl City’s The Midsummer Station Tour and also as supports for pop rock darlings, Tonight Alive. Consecutively returning to Warped for a second stint, the band’s reach is not only limited to America, earning a bill on the Philippine’s third edition of Bazooka Rocks this August next to You Me At Six and We Are The In Crowd.

Complementing these various endeavours will be the release of an acoustic EP on June 10 featuring 4 acoustic tracks from Talking Dreams (with an increased presence of the cello for Cool Kids) and a completely new addition, Terminal.

“At a terminal, love is kind but it don’t play by rules,” the husky intonations of lead singer Sydney Sierota is enough to lull the listener into a state of feel-good bliss, cocooned by light chords and tinkles. The rest of the Sierota clan’s background “Ooh”s also permeates an easy comfort punctured only by Graham’s rippling drums.

What’s your opinion on Echosmith’s Terminal so far? Do you think they should stop by Singapore in August? (We do!) Leave us a comment below!
