Daft Punk Teases With 15 Second Clip Of New Song!

By  March 6, 2013

As fans patiently wait for Daft Punk to release a follow up album to their 2005 offering, the house music maestros decided to have a little fun with their fans by releasing a mysterious 15-second clip of their new song.

With nothing but their glittering band logo and signature helmets, the video was dropped on an episode of Saturday Night Live in America. It is rumoured that Nile Rodgers of American disco band Chic contributed to the guitar riff of the song. Nile is also rumoured to be working with the French duo on their upcoming fourth album.

The currently unnamed song is essentially a very disco track. Forget what you heard from the Tron Legacy soundtrack. With this song, Daft Punk takes you back to basics without of the usage overly fancy electronic elements. I quite like how laidback the song feels!

So, go on, take a listen to the 15-second track below!
