Just days after giving birth to her baby boy Milan, Colombian goddess Shakira looks almost ready to rock the set of talent show The Voice Season 4.
Along with rapper Pharrell Williams (shout out to Team Usher!), Good Charlotte's front-man Joel Madden is confirmed to mentor for Team Shakira. Although I am pleasantly surprised by this news, it is at the same time expected as Joel has been a coach for The Voice Australia.
This pairing is rather unique as both singers come from different musical backgrounds. (Try imagining a Good Charlotte song featuring Shakira).
But cheers to that - I believe that this can be used to spark off a great partnership between them! Who knows, perhaps chemistry is brewing already. The two only have praise for each other:
“Not only am I a huge fan of Shakira as a person, but I’m a huge fan of her music and her craft. I enjoyed working with all of the talented singers, hanging with Shakira and bringing what I’ve learned on the Australian version of the show back to the States with me.”
Shakira adds on, “I’m so excited to have Joel be a part of my team. He’s a friend and such a talented musician. I think our combined experience and expertise will bring an eclectic mix of input and energy.”
Yes I think so too, Shakira. And I wouldn't be surprised if Joel, father of 2, is caught exchanging parenting tips with you on the show.
Don't forget to catch The Voice Season 4 on Monday, March 25!
