The Fray Talk Musical Inspirations And Guilty Pleasures In Interview!

By  November 10, 2012

The members of The Fray are an amiable bunch. Walking into the Rock Studio at the Hard Rock Hotel, I was immediately greeted with the warmest smiles. Joe King –rhythmic guitarist and back-up vocalist- shook hands with almost every journalist in the room while lead-singer, Isaac Slade, helped place more chairs around the room so that everyone had a seat. The rest of the band members also offered us beer, prawn crackers and even durian cookies.

Initially, I was worried that the interview wouldn’t go well but within seconds of watching such sweet gestures by these humble musicians from Colorado, I just knew that they were going to be a breeze to interview. And indeed they were.

Interjecting their sense of humour throughout the interview, the band gave a wonderful set of honest answers. I was in complete awe with how comfortable they were with joking around us. I could tell that they were jet-lagged but did their best to provide answers to the best of their abilities.

So go on, watch as The Fray reveal their guilty pleasures (while expressing their love for Katy Perry!) as well as what goes on behind their writing process below!
