WATCH: Passion Pit Shows You The Real 'Constant Conversations'

By  August 4, 2012

You haven’t experienced Passion Pit’s latest album Gossamer in entirety if you have yet to watch the music video for Constant Conversations. There is so much more to take in and so much deeper understanding to the song, if you haven't!

It is a The Great Gatsby–like video, sultry and whatnot. And Michael Angelakos makes his way through a fancy party, seemingly flitting from one small talk to another and eventually writhing his body near a snake in a bathtub while everyone else is hooking up with another.

This goes hand-in-hand perfectly with the theme of the song – the entire album even – of cynicism and betrayal as he sings “Well then we’ll see what they say and we’ll do what they do / But that doesn’t mean a goddamn thing / Yeah they’ll talk, yeah they’ll even sing”.

Just like how Gossamer is entirely personal, mostly wrapped around Angelakos' depression and internal struggle, the music video again, gives us a deeper insight into the thematic lyrics of the song. It is really something to encapsulate all that intangible feelings into a music video! Watch Constant Conversations below:
