Kiss has been around for the longest time and it seems that they are not retiring anytime soon. A couple of days ago, the band had just released the tracklisting and artwork for the band's forthcoming album, Monster. Not one to be left out by the whole social marketing strategies, Kiss is keeping up with the times by releasing portions of the image via their ‘Monster Hunt’ Facebook app. Pretty ingenius, I must say.
Speaking about the album, which is going to be released on October 16th, Gene Simmons said,"A lot of the lyrics and points of view have less to do with sort of the cocksmanship, craftsmanship -- 'Hey babe, I'm gonna rock you all night long,' and are more about sort of primal notions about who we are and how we feel [...] So something like The Devil is Me, for instance, is more confessional; you can keep pointing your fingers at all the evil in the world, but you've got some of it and here's the Lord's decree -- the devil is me. Maybe there's a little devil in all of us."
The first single from Monster, Hell or Hallelujah, which the group is already playing during its current tour with Motley Crue, has already been released.
From what the band members are speaking about the upcoming album, it seems that Monster is the best album that the band has produced so far. There are plans to tour around the world after the release - ummmm count me in? You cannot call yourself an avid concert go-er if you haven't been to a Kiss concert before.
