LISTEN: The Antlers Releases New Track 'Drift Drive'

By  July 2, 2012

Brooklyn-based The Antlers have released a new track, Drift Drive. Like their previous songs about hospitals and deaths, animals and conflicting emotions, Drift Drive is another incredibly sad song for the melancholic soul (not that anyone is complaining, really!).

Drift Drive knocks you off into a dreamlike state. Sometimes you find yourself on the ebb, drifting away into the ocean. Other times you are diving into a never-ending sea, plunging through the depths of the sea in slow motion and basking in surreality accompanied with strong nostalgia.

One should definitely listen to Drift Drive and watch the muted music video of Sextape by Deftones because they fit so extraordinarily well together.

Never once did their works disappoint, Drift Drive is the first track off The Antlers forthcoming 4-track EP Undersea, after their huge success with previous album Burst Apart, which was ranked #89 in the US.

The Antlers is a group of really, really sad musicians. And before we feel their sadness in entirety again, here’s a live version of Drift Drive from the upcoming EP Undersea.
