When I was waiting outside Blush’s holding room at ITE Simei, I peeked through the little window pane and caught the girls dolling themselves up. So much sass was exuding from them, I couldn’t help but feel a knot in my stomach.

As my cameraman was setting up, I took the opportunity to strike up a conversation with them, and I was blown away by how warm they were! Forget questions like “Is my hair alright?” or “Can I have the camera on my better side?”, the girls were actually really eager to know where to get the best chicken rice in Singapore. As cliché as this may sound, they were genuine and really down-to-Earth.

The interview itself was a breeze, since Angeli, Alisha, Nacho, Ji Hae and Victoria didn’t shy away from the unconventional questions I prepared for them. It was almost like talking to my friends, really. I’m predicting great things for Blush, because they truly deserve it.
