Take That All Set To “Flood” The World

Since the return of Robbie Williams, Take That has been working on their sixth studio album titled Progress together with famed producer Stuart Price due end November.

The British pop band recently released lead single The Flood off the upcoming album with Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams on lead vocals. This is the first Take That single to feature Robbie since Never Forget in 1995.

Lyrically, the single is another “we’ve overcome the obstacles and we’ve grown stronger now” theme. There is too much Robbie though. Maybe the group wanted to mark the return of Robbie with this single. But there’s five of you, at least let Mark sing!

Overall, this is a good song and way better than I had even thought. You can tell it’s Price produced with his fingerprints all over it – which is not a bad thing, lending some beats to Take That’s sometimes snoozy tunes.
